Jonah Hill has been cast to portray Grateful Dead guitarist and singer Jerry Garcia in a biopic by the iconic director Martin Scorsese. Jerry Garcia spent 30 years with the band, when they formed 1995 in the Bay Area, until he passed away in 1995.

Former members of the Grateful Dead Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hard will be executive producers of the film. The movie will be released as a Apple Original, and has no date yet.

Their also isn’t a confirmed time period of what part of Garcia’s life that we will see on screen. Are you excited to see Jonah Hill step into this role?
