Following the successful launch of the app ‘Threads,’ which has been dubbed the “Twitter Killer,” Meta is now facing a potential lawsuit from Twitter. Alex Spiro, an outside lawyer representing Elon Musk, sent a letter accusing Meta of unlawfully misappropriating Twitter’s trade secrets and intellectual property. The letter claims that Meta hired former Twitter employees who retained confidential documents and devices, and deliberately involved them in developing Threads.
In response to the allegations, Meta spokesperson Andy Stone has denied the claim, stating, “No one on the Threads engineering team is a former Twitter employee — that’s simply not true.”
