Travis Scott Speaks Out For The First Time Since Astroworld Tragedy In Somber Conversation With Charlamagne Tha God

Arguably one of the best interviewers of the past two decades, Charlamagne Tha God recently sat down with musician Travis Scott to discuss the recent tragedy at Astroworld which resulted in ten total deaths and many more injuries. In the somber, and nearly hour long interview Charlamagne asks Scott tough questions like when did he find out fans were injured, if he could hear fans screaming help in-between records, if “rage culture” had anything to do with this tragedy, and more. Travis stated he wasn’t aware of any of the deaths or injuries until briefly before the press conference post show and in regards to hearing individuals screaming for help the artist replied “It’s so crazy because I’m that artist too — anytime you can hear something like that, you want to stop the show, you want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need. Anytime I could see anything like that, I did. I stopped it a couple times to just make sure everybody was OK. And I really just go off the fans’ energy as a collective — call and response. I just didn’t hear that.”
