After listening to this album thoroughly it would be hard to argue that this isn’t  Kanye West’s best album in his illustrious career. The diversity of the album can only be compared to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy other than that there is no other comparison to any other project West has. Starting the album appropriately with ‘Ultra Light Beam’ which has a traditional gospel sound featuring Chance The Rapper where raps the line “I met Kanye West I’m never going to fail” and then Kirk Franklin ends the song with a prayer. Father Stretch My Hands part 1 chorus by long time collaborative and former G.O.O.D music member Kid Cudi captures your attention and as the Metro Boomin produced track switches tempos on Father Stretch My Hands part 2 Kanye raps ferociously and then the most recent member of G.O.O.D music Desiigner gets on the track rapping with a effortless flow saying “I got broads in Atlanta, Twisting dope fiend in the Fanta”. Famous is also a notable track as it features long time collaborative Rihanna as she sings over the hard hitting Swizz Beats produced track. Highlights which Kanye performed last night on SNL is almost like his classic ‘Good Life’ track but on steroids featuring Young Thug. Kanye addresses all the “I Like The Old Kanye” people with his I Love Kanye Freestyle it is indescribable, something you just have to hear and understand for yourself. In the song FML Kanye lets the world into what exactly he has been thinking about and how he feels about pouring out his vision as The Weekend sings “I wish I would go ahead and fuck my life up, Cant let them get to me”. One of the more anticipated tracks to hear on the album was ‘Wolves’ as Kanye performed it almost a year ago on SNL alongside Sia & Vic Mensa well he opted to remove them both from the track for this studio version of the song and replaced them with Frank Ocean which definitely is not viewed as a downgrade. I’d even go as far as to say this is the best song on the album simply because Kanye’s calm approach in his lyrics and then of course no one can deny the affect the talented Frank Ocean has on any song he is on. Silver Surfer Intermission features a audio recording from Max B shouting Yeezy out and showing him love giving his approval of Kanye being ‘Wavy’. Facts kept the same lyrics however Yeezy opted for a different beat as he calls it the Charlie Heat version and it is by far better than the previous version. Rounding out the album Kanye chose ‘Fade’ as this track features Ty Dolla $ign and Post Malone on the vocals so I’m sure you can imagine how great the song is.
