In last night’s exhibition, USA Basketball faced off against the Australian Boomers. After the USA’s surprising loss to Nigeria last week, many expected Team USA to come out on top. The Boomers had something else planned though.
San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills led the Australian national team with a team-high 22 points and 4 assists. Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles Philadelphia 76ers forward Matisse Thybulle helped out by scoring 17 points and 12 points, respectively, while making life hard on the USA to get clean looks. The Boomers won 91-83 over the USA, in their second straight loss.
Team USA will look to turn it around vs. Argentina tonight.
