The United States national team lost to Germany in the FIBA World Cup Semifinals. The two teams played earlier in the Group stage but the United States pulled off a miraculous victory, but couldn’t summon that same momentum this game. The United States were led by Anthony Edwards who scored 23 points and Austin Reaves who scored 21 points in the loss. The Germans pounded the United States on the inside and outscored them 25-8 on second-chance points. The United States trailed by ten in the fourth quarter and came within two points, but couldn’t stop Germany from scoring.

The final score was 113-111. Germany will face Serbia this Sunday for the World Cup Final.
