Shakur Stevenson Dominates Jamel Herring To Capture The WBO Title Via 10th-Round TKO

Shakur Stevenson has had a meteoric rise to the top of boxing’s upper echelon, and last night he proved once again why he is one of the best in the sport at such a young age. Shakur dominated the fight, winning all nine rounds on two judges cards, and eight on the other. Stevenson landed almost twice as many punches as Herring. Stevenson actually landed more power punches (99) than Herring did total punches (87).

The fight was stopped in the tenth round, when Stevenson pummeled Herring throughout the entire round. Stevenson now improves his professional record to 17-0, and cementing his self even further in the class of boxing’s elite and is now the WBO Junior Lightweight division champion.
