Salvatore Ferragamo Appoints New Creative Director Maximilian Davis

Early Monday morning Italian Fashion House, Salvatore Ferragamo announced they’d be appointing a new Creative Director to lead them. Maximilian Davis, a 26 year old Trinidadian British designer who currently has his own namesake brand, previously worked under Grace Wales Bonner as a junior designer, and was one of the semifinalist for this years LVMH Prize for Young Designers will take the helm at Ferragamo. When asked about the appointment CEO of Ferragamo, Marco Gobbetti told WWD “The clarity of his vision together with the level of execution and his powerful aesthetic make him one of the most brilliant talents of his generation.” Stay tuned to see what’s next for Ferragamo with Davis at the helm.
