Senior guard for the Norfolk State Spartans Joe Bryant Jr. was named MEAC Player of the Year. The former Lake Taylor Titan averaged 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 91.8% from the free-throw line. The senior also made first-team All MEAC.
Bryant Jr. was the main catalyst that led the Spartans to a 21-6 record and first in the MEAC.
