Nick Krygios Sparks Debate After Wearing Red and White Jordan 1 “Cardinal” Despite Traditional Wimbledon “All White” Rules

Australian tennis star Nick Krygios has sparked a major debate amongst the tennis community with some of his recent fashion statements. Krygios wore a pair of ‘Cardinal’ Jordan 1 Lows and an all-red Jordan Hat as he entered the court at Wimbledon. If you didn’t know, players are supposed to wear all-white shoes and accessories at all times before and after the match. He did play in all-white shoes and hat during the match but switched back to his Jordan 1s and red hat directly after the match.

Many traditional fans and former players think that Krygios is “Bad” for tennis with his outspoken attitude and what some may say ‘rebel’ mentality. Krygios has made a paradigm shift in the tennis community, as he ‘Zags’ while everyone else ‘Zigs’.

Krygios is set to play Tennis great Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, as Krygios got a Walkover, or a Bye past Rafael Nadal due to an injury Nadal suffered. Krygios is 2-0 vs. Djokovic in previous matchups and they will face off Sunday at 11 am EST.
