Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton tapped Daniel Arsham to create a custom helmet ahead of his race at Monaco GP this weekend. Lewis stated in an Instagram post that the helmet was inspired by his favorite crystal, amethyst, which has protective healing properties. The task for Daniel, however, was to create the helmet as a relic that could be found in a museum 1,000 years from now. Lewis stated that the helmet will be made for sale and all proceeds will benefit Mission 44, Hamilton’s foundation to empower and champion UK’s youth. Check out the Monaco GP Sunday morning at 9AM EST. on ESPN 2.
