Las Vegas Raiders and Jon Gruden Part Ways After A Trail Of Racist, Homophobic and Misogynistic Emails Surface

The tenure of Jon Gruden being the Head Coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, or any team, has come to an end, in a very ugly way. Several days ago, an email surfaced from 2011 with Gruden calling current (African-American) NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith. Gruden referred to Smith by calling him “Rubber Lips” in a email.

Since then, the NFL has launched an investigation reviewing thousands of emails over the years. In those emails, it was revealed that Gruden used racist, misogynistic and homophobic language in his personal emails.

Before the news became widespread, Gruden took it upon his self to resign from the position.

Special teams coach Rich Bisaccia is the likely favorite to the Head Coach position for the remainder of the season.
