Kevin Durant Leaves Game Due to Contact Tracing

Prior to and in the opening minutes of last night’s game vs. the Toronto Raptors, Kevin Durant was being held out due to contact tracing. Durant came into contact with someone that afternoon who had an inconclusive test that then came back positive.

As the game began, the Nets were still doing contact tracing but then cleared Durant to play. Durant came onto the bench and checked in to the game shortly.

In the third quarter, during a play review, a member of the Nets came and told Durant something which put a vexed look on his face. He then got up and left the bench to go to the locker room.

Durant played 19 minutes during the game and showed his disapproval on his Twitter.

Durant will not travel with the Nets to play the 76ers and be out several games for health and safety protocols. This is the second time Durant will have to sit out due to health and safety protocols.
