The Golden State Warriors have won the 2022 NBA championship over the Boston Celtics. The Warriors clinched the title by winning 103-90 in Game 6 behind a 34-point scoring flurry from Stephen Curry.
Stephen Curry also won his first Finals MVP which eluded him in his first three championship years and finished with averages of 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists while shooting a red-hot 43% from three.
This marks the fourth championship in eight years for the Warriors Dynasty that began in 2014. Golden State missed the playoffs in 2020 and 2021 without Thompson and Curry being injured. The last two seasons though, they built their roster to be prepared for this moment with acquisitions of Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, the development of Jordan Poole, and other key pieces who played an important role in this year’s championship.
