Gervonta “Tank” Davis Defeats Rolando Romero with Sixth Round TKO to Remain Undefeated

It took six rounds for Gervonta “Tank” Davis to prevail against the boastful Rolando “Rolly” Romero in their highly anticipated lightweight clash Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Both fighters stuck to their game-plan in the earlier rounds with Rolly taking a more aggressive approach stalking Tank, walking him down and letting his hands go, while Tank as he stated before the fight allowed himself three rounds of “figuring Rolly out” before applying pressure back to the previously undefeated fighter. In the sixth round just as Rolly had done in the rounds prior attempted a flurry of punches, one of which Tank ducked and then connected with a left that would send Rolly into the ropes face first prompting a TKO. After the fight speaking to Jim Gray, Tank was very respectful to his opponent wishing him the best in his career going forward and also stating that he’s willing to fight whoever is next. Fight fans worldwide are now hoping for a Tank fight versus the likes of Garcia, Devin Haney or George Kambosos. Stay tuned for more information soon.
