The ill-fated ‘Fyre Festival,’ is making a return, as revealed by its founder and coordinator, Billy McFarland. Following his release from prison in 2022 after pleading guilty to multiple fraud charges, McFarland hinted at a revamped edition of the festival coming soon. Surprisingly, on Monday morning and without prior notice, tickets for Fyre Festival 2 were released for $499.
In a TikTok video, McFarland shared, “It has been an incredibly surreal journey to reach this point, which all began during the seven months I spent in solitary confinement. I meticulously drafted a comprehensive 50-page plan outlining how to harness the continued interest and demand for Fyre. This plan also outlined how I would leverage my expertise to unite people worldwide and bring the seemingly impossible to life. I aimed to find exceptional partners who would permit me to stay true to myself while elevating Fyre’s vision to the utmost.” Although details remain uncertain, rumors suggest the festival might be hosted somewhere in the Caribbean sometime next year.
