Frida Kahlo’s “Diego Y Yo” has sold for a record-breaking $34.9 Million

The sale at the Sotheby’s marked a benchmark for Kahlo, stamping “Diego Y Yo” as the most valuable work of Latin American art ever sold at auction.

“Diego Y Yo” is one of Kahlo’s last self-portraits before her death in 1954. The painting depicts her turbulent relationship with Mexican muralist, Diego Rivera.
