ESPN has tapped Spike Lee to direct a multipart documentary on Colin Kaepernick.
The docuseries will feature extensive interviews with former NFL star as well as never-before-seen footage from Kaepernick’s archives.
Part of the press release reads,
“Kaepernick, who has never given a full, first-person account of his journey, is collaborating closely with Lee who plans to use extensive new interviews and a vast never-before-seen archive to help Kaepernick tell his story from his perspective,”
There is currently no release date or official name for the docuseries at this time but it can be expected to release in the following weeks.
