A rematch fight that was 7-years in the making, seen Dustin Poirier deliver an amazing 2nd round KO to Conor Mcgregor at UFC 257.

The result came after Poirier repeatedly delivered leg kicks to Mcgregor throughout the fight eventually resulting in what Mcgregor called a “dead leg” allowing Poirier to take advantage and land punches to the head that ultimately led to the stoppage. With Khabib Nurmagomedov currently retired we don’t know what lies ahead for Dustin Poirier but we can only imagine whatever it is, it will be for the championship belt. As for Mcgregor, he admitted after the fight in order to be competitive in the sport you had to be fighting frequently which hasn’t been the case for Mcgregor as he’s only fought twice since 2018. Mcgregor also added in the post fight interview “I have to dust it off and come back and that’s it. And that’s what I will do.”
