Dmitry Bivol dominated his light heavyweight matchup with Canelo Alvarez, spoiling the Mexican Superstar’s high hopes for victory on Cinco De Mayo weekend.
An outcome many did not expect, moving up to 175-lbs proved to not be the best move for the Mexican Superstar as he couldn’t seem to mount enough power to effect the undefeated Bivol throughout the 12-round bout. Losing this fight brings Canelo’s record to 57-2-2 while Bivol continues his undefeated streak behind the amazing jab and boxing technique displayed, now becoming 20-0.
After the fight, Alvarez shared hopes for a rematch, to which Bivol seemed willing. Stay tuned for more information soon.
