After months of decline, the delta variant of Covid 19 is causing cases to soar in Virginia.

Scientists from The UVA Biocomplexity Institute have created a worst case scenario forecast, which shows that at our current rate of infection, the virus could infect 100 per 100,000 people a day by mid September.

The worst ratio Virginia has suffered thus far was only 68 per 100,000 people in January.
