On the latest issue of GQ, Colin Kaepernick is featured on the front cover as Citizen of the Year, sporting his afro and a black leather jacket, similar to the Black Panthers.

Kaepernick’s year has been an interesting one ever since his protests of the NFL, taking a knee during the national anthem, a protest towards racial injustice and police brutality. The football star lost his job with the NFL, but became a symbol of hope for thise around him, landing him the position as GQ Citizen of the Year
