“Blinding Lights” Breaks All-Time Record For Longest Charting Song In Hot 100

When The Weeknd released his single “Blinding Lights” on November 29th of 2019, the song immediately jumped to the top of the charts, and remained there for quite some time It hit #1 in April of 2020, taking over the top spot from “The Box” by Roddy Ricch. Now, 88 weeks later, it has still remained on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the all time record.

The previous longest song was held by Imagine Dragons with there song “Radioactive” that maintained a spot on the Hot 100 for 87 weeks. “Blinding Lights” now sits at #18 on the Hot 100.
