To the surprise of many, the Atlanta Braves won Game 1 of the World Series against the Houston Astros. The shock didn’t only come due to the Braves being the underdogs playing as the away team in Game 1 of the series, but after their starting pitcher Charlie Morton went down with a fractured fibula many were unsure if the Braves would be able to pull out the victory. It’s hard to think anyone could argue the MVP’s of the game after A.J. Minter and Tyler Matzek relieved Charlie Morton pitching 6.2 solid innings holding the Stro’s to just 2 runs which ultimately wasn’t enough to match the Braves 6 runs. Tune into FOX tonight to see Max Fried and Jose Urquidy match up in Game 2.
