Yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg spoke at the SXSW conference in Texas to talk about all things Metaverse. In his time on stage, Zuckerberg announced that NFTs will be making their way onto Instagram in the next “several months”. Although he didn’t go into detail, it is likely that we will see NFTs like they are on Twitter Blue, where users can make their NFT their profile pic on the app.

Zuckerberg also hinted at possibly being able to Mint NFTs on Instagram as well. Instagram has a wide marketplace to buy things from business owners of all sorts, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibility for users to Mint and trade NFTs within the app.
