Chesapeake native Grant Holloway has won Silver for his performance in the Tokyo Olympic’s 110 meter hurdle.
Up until his final race Grant had posted the fastest times for the first two qualifying rounds, but fell slightly short against Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment to win gold.
Grant stated that his excitement of winning cost him his form at the final leg of the race. “I got a little bit excited towards the end of the race and my form kind of broke down,” Grant said. “If I was to say I’m not upset, then I’m lying. But I have to be satisfied with the silver. I’ve got to go back home, got to work toward getting the gold again.”
