Sashiko is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching that is used for decorative and or functional reinforcement for cloth and clothing. Nike originally used this on an Air Jordan 4 colorway but has now decided reintroduce the design on the Nike Air Force One. The shoe displays the unique mismatching stitching on the outer and inner foot as well as the vamp and the toe. The shoe also displays Japanese wording on the heel tab and translucent outsole. The “Sashiko” doesn’t have an official release date, but you can expect it to come sooner rather than later.
