Two Foldable iPhone Designs Reportedly Passed Durability Tests Over The Weekend

Although the idea of making a foldable or a dual-screen device isn’t new to Apple, after all they were awarded a patent to design one back in 2017 and reportedly were going to release in 2018, the device never hit the market. Now, to kick off 2021 According to Taiwanese outlet Economic Daily News two different foldable phone prototypes have passed internal durability tests at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, China. The report speaks about a device that vertically-folds similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip while the other is a dual-screen phone with two displays connected by a hinge. The new report says it’s too early to say when Apple will launch any of these two foldable models, though it mentions speculations that it will happen in late 2022 or 2023.
