Kobe Bryant Reportedly Had Plans To Start His Own Sneaker Brand Before His Untimely Death

At the time of Kobe Bryant’s passing, he had spent just under two decades with Nike Basketball. Today, Iranian-American angel investor and venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar took to Twitter to suggest that Kobe had discussed with him his plans to leave Nike to start his own Mamba Sneaker Brand. In a series of tweets, Pishevar detailed that Bryant had met with him to discuss terminating his relationship with Nike, having the Mamba Sneaker Brand be “owned by players,” and more. Nike has yet to issue any statements regarding the rumor.
