One thing that isn’t confused at all when you hear about or follow the path of creative Joe Freshgoods is his undying love for the place where he says made him who he is, Chicago. The 70’s scene in Chicago was full of disco culture and that is exactly what Joe Freshgoods is looking to translate to modern times with his latest collaboration with Converse. The project which he calls a “Love letter to his hometown” will consist of combination of the Converse Pro Leather and Chuck 70. The details of the shoe are as follows — suede, corduroy and velvet materials with the base layers furnished in all black, and mated with purple tread soul to deliver a hint of soul-inspiration. As for the upper details presented, we receive a debossed floral pattern visible across the lateral and medial sides in addition to Chevron logos which are upgraded with glossy finishes. As if that wasn’t enough, the shoes come packaged with silver glitter that is sprinkled along the midsole to portray the intimate lighting and visuals found throughout the nightclubs of the 70’s, as well as interchangeable J-F-G corduroy patches. For apparel, a hoodie, track pant, translucent duffel bag, and two t-shirts will accompany the shoe on the December 17th when they release on Converse and at select global retailers.
