Rolling stone has re released its official list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, originally drafted in 2003 the list has now been revised by the media giant.
Rolling stone had this to say about its new list, “Our list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time was originally published in 2003. But no list is definitive, so we decided to remake it from scratch.”
The list was comprised by the top 50 album lists of over 300 artists, producers, critics, and music executives from a range of different generations including the likes of “Beyoncé, H.E.R, Tierra Whack, Wu-Tang Clan, Gene Simmons, Craig Kallman, Taylor Swift, and many more.
86 of the albums on the list are from the 21st century with 154 new additions that were not highlighted on the list from 2003.
The top 500 list includes projects from artists such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson, Prince, and many more with the number one album going to Marvin Gaye.
