2020 CFDA Winners Announced

The CFDA stands for The Council of Fashion Designers of America. It is a not-for-profit trade association including designers ranging from womenswear and menswear to accessory designers. The CFDA was created to raise funds for charities and industry-related activities.

Due to Covid-19, the CFDA awards that regularly take place in June to honor the leading designs of the year were moved to a streaming platform called Runway360 where they announced this year’s winners.

The winners and the category that they won are listed below:

American Womenswear Designer of the Year
WINNER: Gabriela Hearst

American Menswear Designer of the Year
WINNER: Kerby Jean-Raymond for Pyer Moss

American Accessories Designer of the Year
WINNER: Telfar Clemens for Telfar

American Emerging Designer of the Year
WINNER: Christopher John Rogers

Global Women’s Designer of the Year
WINNER: Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino

Global Men’s Designer of the Year
WINNER: Kim Jones for Dior
