John Boyega Delivers Heartfelt Speech At London’s Hyde Park

28-year-old actor, John Boyega, noted for his roles in Star Wars, Pacific Rim and Detroit has been celebrated throughout the past week for utilizing his Twitter account to fight back again racists critics, trolls and industry figures alike. Earlier today, Boyega participated in a Black Lives Matter march and protest at London’s Hyde Park where he delivered a stirring heartfelt speech stating

“Black lives have always mattered, we have always been important. We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless. And now is the time. I ain’t waiting…We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd. We are a physical representation of our support for Sandra Bland. We are a physical representation of our support for Trayvon Martin. We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence.”

Towards the end of his speech he made known to the protesters he understood the frustration but encouraged them to keep the protest as peaceful as possible to avoid feeding into   law enforcement’s trap of  “wanting us to mess up, [wanting us] to be disorganized.” Finally in-closing Boyega said “If I Don’t ‘Have A Career After This, F*ck That’
