NCAA’s Top Governing Party In Support Of Player Endorsement Deal

The NCAA’s top governing body said today that they are supporting a proposal to allow college athletes to sign endorsement contracts and receive payment for other work, provided that the schools they attend are not involved in any of the payments.⁣ This move would allow student-athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness beginning in 2021-22.⁣ Board chairperson Michael Drake said in a release this morning “Allowing promotions and third-party endorsements is uncharted territory.”

It seems the NCAA is finally prepared to take a step to getting student-athletes the endorsements and payouts many feel they have been deserving of for quite some time. Stay tuned for more information soon.
