Chitose Abe To Design Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Collection

After 50 years in the design profession, Jean Paul Gaultier called it quits after his Spring 2020 Couture showing, even throwing a massive party where the French creative staged a mock funeral, with his collection modelled by the likes of Bella Hadid, Dita Von Teese, and Coco Rocha. Gaultier did, however, assure everyone that his Haute Couture would continue with a “new concept”… that concept has now been unveiled via an instagram announcement that Sacai founder, Chitose Abe would be taking the helm for a season. The designer will make her debut in July for FW2020. Although more details are still yet to be unveiled, Jean Paul Gaultier told Vogue

“I am glad to give her the complete freedom,”
