Tekashi 6ix9ine has been sentenced to two years in prison. The rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez had one of the most publicized rises in Hip Hop history, but it all came crashing down when the flamboyant Brooklyn rapper was arrested on federal racketeering and firearm charges. Shortly after being taken into custody, the truth of the numerous violent crimes he and former associates, ‘Nine Trey Bloods’ had committed began to come to the light. Daniel, out of fear of facing up to 47 years behind bars began to work with law enforcement as an informant leading up to today’s court appearance where he was sentenced to two years in prison. After writing Judge Paul Engelmayer a personal letter asking for leniency, Paul Engelmayer did just that and gave credit to the Brooklyn rapper during the hearing, stating he had been very cooperative with government detectives in bringing down a huge bulk of ‘Nine Trey Bloods’ and seemed very resourceful for all of his heinous actions. Daniel Hernandez, due to his 13 months already served will be released late next year however will still remain on supervision for 5 years and have to commit 300 hours of community service.
