No Zion Williamson Until 2020-2021 Season ?

Arguably the most sought after number 1 pick in NBA history, Zion Williamson has still yet to touch the floor in an official regular season game. Now 6-19 after their 15 point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the New Orleans Pelicans seem to be in no rush to get Zion Williamson back on the floor. Zion tore his meniscus in his right knee during a preseason game and was scheduled to return in six to eight weeks — it’s now week seven since the injury but there is still no timetable for a return for the 6’8 phenom. Fans hoped for a Christmas Day debut but Williamson has not even begun on court activities. Earlier this week head coach Alvin Gentry told the media

“I think he’s fine. I don’t think it’s anything that can be rushed. I think it’s a time thing. Six weeks is what we said, but obviously, he’s making progress. When the time comes for him to start on court and do things like that, he will. It’s not anything that’s going to be rushed or any shortcut. It’s a matter of taking the time to make sure he’s fine”

It’s highly likely with the Pelicans record they will continue to take their time in Zion’s return. Stay tuned for more information soon
