Giannis “Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo Wins NBA MVP

Back in 2013 when an eighteen year old Greek kid Giannis Antetokounmpo standing at 6’9 215lbs was drafted by Milwaukee Bucks no one could’ve projected that he would blossom to the phenomenal superstar NBA player he is today so quickly. There is no doubt that most NBA fans and analyst alike knew that this kid would blossom, but in just six NBA seasons he went from rookie to MVP. Part of this success comes with the insane work ethic Giannis has, he’s worked tirelessly every offseason to get better growing 2 more inches, gaining 30lbs of muscle and raising averages consistently throughout the years. This 2018-2019 NBA season however was Giannis “Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo best yet earning his 3rd All Star appearance leading all of the NBA in All Star votes, with stats like 27.7PPG 12.5RPG 5.9APG, shooting an astonishing 58% from the field, leading his team nearly to the NBA Finals before falling just short to the eventual NBA Champion Toronto Raptors led by Kawhi Leonard. Throughout the entire season it was no question that Giannis would be either number one or two in the MVP race with Houston Rockets James Harden. When it was all set and done last night at the third annual NBA Awards on TNT Giannis hoisted the NBA MVP award that so many greats before him have hoisted making him the third youngest to win the award in NBA history giving a heartfelt speech honoring his family and highlighting that two years ago he had a goal to be the best player in the NBA and win the MVP. Well now the “Greek Freak” has accomplished the highest individual award in the NBA and we are sure his sights are now set on hoisting the NBA Championship trophy.
