Last night images of a Tesla Model X inside an Underground LA Tunnel designed by Elon Musk and his Boring Company were unveiled via twitter. The project for the tunnel coined the “loop” started back in March 2017 designed to help alleviate what Elon Musk said is “soul-destroying” traffic. Currently the tunnels runs from Hawthorne, California to brother company SpaceX parking lot 1.14 miles away. The plan is to have the tunnel fully up and running before 2028 when the city is scheduled to host the olympics. The tunnel is expected to support 4,000 cars per hour the equivalent to 16,000 passengers roughly if each vehicle is nearly full with vehicles reaching a desired 150mph. Stay tuned for more news coming soon.
