“Issa” Album Review 


Zone 6 rapper 21 Savage just dropped his sophmore project is available on all major streaming sites and it’s nothing but heat. Issa is a project that takes pride in production; with credits to Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, Pierre Bourne, DJ Mustard and even production from the rapper himself on Bank Account just to name a few. The project’s sound this time around gives us more dark beats than his previous projects with flows that show chemistry with the melody.

The album discusses different topics for 21. From his rags to riches lifestyle on Famous and Nothin New, where he delves into a darker side of the rapper’s thoughts, and tracks where we’re given an R&B side of Savage like FaceTime (could be an ode to his new lady Amber too).
If Savage Mode was 21’s playground album, then Issa is the project that gives us a taste of more of his story-telling side, a different but undoubtedly a great transition from where he was before. Stream the album here.
