Skepta Drops Hypocrisy

British grime rapper Skepta has just recently released a new track titled “Hypocrisy,” and he gets very cocky throughout the song. The British artist addresses online commenters who have called his fashion decisions. Speaking specifically on his recent music video “No Security” and his recent interview with ODE that took place in May. Skepta addresses the online hate with verses such as “They try to disrespect me, when they’re online especially, but everything cool when they check me…” as well as “Nah, we are so not equal, them man are cloning people, Anything I do, they bite, How do you sleep at night?”

Skepta also addresses how the topics of his raps do not always include conscious rap. He brings up Kendrick Lamar and Wretch 32 and how he respects the conscious rap style. Online negativity seems to not phase Skepta at all, and at the rate he is progressing it shouldn’t. Having a backing from Drake with placement on the interlude of “More Life,” Skepta makes it known that he is here to leave his mark. Listen to the track here
