Just a couple weeks after signing promotional deals with Top Rank, Norfolk’s Keyshawn and Kelvin Davis made their Top Rank debuts in Madison Square Garden. They dominated as well.
The eldest of the two, Kelvin Davis took on Ryan Schwartzberg. Kelvin used his reach and quickness to easily get through Schwartzberg’s guard, landing punch after punch and staying in complete control of the entire fight. In the second round, Davis landed a right hook followed by a left uppercut that sent Schwartzberg’s to the ground and his mouthpiece flying. His corner was forced to stop the fight, due to Davis closing his left eye. Kelvin is now 3-0 in his professional career.
Keyshawn Davis was next, taking on Jose Zaragoza. Just like his brother, Keyshawn handled business and finished the fight in the second round, but he finished Zaragoza with a devastating body shot. With about 55 seconds left, Keyshawn put together combo of a right hook followed by two uppercuts and then two body powerful body shots that sent Zaragoza to the canvas. A few seconds later, Keyshawn landed a uppercut to the body that finished the fight for good. The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Silver Medalist is now 4-0 in his professional career.
